Blends of memories

In this series of collages and assemblages, I explore the fluid nature of memory and time. Captured over five years, these images revisit places I cherish—unchanging yet never the same. Each artwork weaves together moments from a single landscape, recorded across shifting seasons and light. The Swiss Alps remain steadfast, while time reshapes the world around them—and us. Some memories stay vivid, others fade into abstraction. By layering multiple exposures, I blur the line between reality and recollection, inviting a dialogue between time, place, and perception.

The final works are physical, handmade assemblages. I print the photographs, cut them into fragments, and assemble them into layered, three-dimensional compositions. The layers introduce shifts in depth and perspective, allowing time to be experienced spatially. What first appears as a single landscape gradually reveals itself as a convergence of many moments held in tension.

Collages are printed on fine art paper with pigment ink.
